Pneumatic Tip Lifts
At Tilt-Lock, we strive to design and produce advanced pneumatic roll lifters and other top-notch equipment for faster, easier and safer material handling. We offer a wide selection of pneumatic tip lift models to meet the requirements of virtually every material handling environment. Our inventory includes units that can lift rolls weighing up to 2,000 pounds and can accommodate rolls ranging in width from 3 to 70 inches. All our pneumatic tip lifts require a minimum pressure of 90 PSI to operate.
How does it work
Pneumatic roll lifters rely on the precise delivery of pressurized air to perform the lifting action. This design reduces dependence on human labor and eliminates the need for electrical or battery power. The operator uses the ergonomically designed handle-mounted controls to guide the cylindrical spring-loaded probe into the core of the roll. The probe features four mechanical teeth to secure the role during lifting and transport.
After inserting the probe into the roll, the operator uses the controls to raise the load and rotate it in a horizontal or vertical direction at up to 90 degrees. This strategy enables the operator to easily move the roll into the desired position. Releasing the probe is a simple matter of lowering the roll to the ground or stationary support and using the pneumatic release feature to retract the teeth. The probe’s patented, secure design prevents the teeth from disengaging from the roll while it is in the air.
Capabilities & Benefits
Integrating roll lifting equipment into your work processes can make life easier for your material handling team — and offer a variety of business benefits for your company.
Tip lifts greatly reduce the manual lifting and moving requirements of employees, decreasing the risk of injuries, reducing workers’ compensation claims, and resulting in greater overall productivity.
Tilt-Lock pneumatic tip lifts maximize load security for fewer instances of dropped rolls during lifting, loading and transporting. The resulting reduction in damaged product likewise reduces cost and allows you to deliver better service to your customers.
Tilt-Lock pneumatic tip lifts are designed to maximize efficiency, enabling your team to get more work done in less time. The decreased risk of worker injury also provides greater productivity due to a reduction in time off the job.
All of our pneumatic tip lift products are manufactured in the USA to meet the highest quality, performance and reliability standards. Our equipment is built to last, ensuring you get the maximum return on your investment.
Uses & Applications
Tilt-Lock pneumatic tip lifts are ideal for working with large rolls of materials like paper, foil, or film and are suited to a wide variety of industries, such as printing, chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing and more.
