Adjustable Tip Lift Handles
Our adjustable tip lift handles provide the ability to adjust handle positions up and down, helping operators reach the controls on taller rolls and allowing for a more varied operator demographic because the handles are not at a set height. This modification is recommended for all rolls over 50” tall.
Pneumatic Tooth Release
Pneumatic tooth release allows operators to release probe teeth automatically via a simple push button incorporated on the unit’s handles. This feature mitigates the need for the operator to remove their hands from the controls.
Counter-Balance Bracket
A counter-balance bracket modification helps stabilize the tip lift when moving heavier rolls. The counter-balance modification moves the hoist hook point under the roll’s center of gravity, so the roll sits level when horizontal. This modification is recommended for use with rolls wider than 30”.
Probes
Probes are available in any diameter you may require based on your rolls’ diameter(s), including custom lengths for applications with variable roll widths. Also available are additional sets of teeth for picking up stacks of rolls.
All-Air Units
The Tilt-Lock team has the capability to provide tip lift units that exclusively use compressed air to operate. This modification is ideal for use cases in which 110-volt electric power is not available.
Extended Tip Lift Handles
Tilt-Lock’s extended tip lift handles help operators reach the handles when working with rolls of a larger diameter. Extended handles move the handle location away from the probe, eliminating the need for the operator to bend at the waist to reach the handles and helping to prevent operator injury.
Vacuum Package
Vacuum packaging helps to stop rolls from telescoping when being lifted. The Tilt-Lock team recommends sending in a roll for testing prior to purchasing a vacuum package modification; please contact us to arrange your roll testing.
Probe Changer Cart
Probe changer carts enable the customer to set the probe in the cart while changing to different sizes. Our probe changer carts are on casters for convenient storage when not in use.
Washdown
Our washdown modifications are ideal for clean room applications in which “food grade” components are required. Tilt-Lock’s washdown offerings include food grade grease, epoxy paint, stainless steel components.
Pendent Pocket
Tilt-Lock offers pendent pockets for storage of pendent controls. Pendent pockets can be custom-fabricated to fit the customer’s existing controls.
Shaft Loader
A shaft loader can help assist the roll transition from the unit’s probe onto a machine’s shaft. This modification can mitigate the need for the operator to physically push the roll on to the shaft, reducing the risk of operator injury.
Automatic Load Leveler
Automatic load levelers automatically move the hoist hook point under the center of gravity of the roll, so the roll sits level both horizontally and vertically. This modification also has a manual feature to slide the hook point back and forth via a selector switch.
Pendent Controls
Pendent controls allow operators to switch between handle-mounted controls and pendent controls as necessary. This modification is recommended for applications in which the handles’ controls become out of reach for the operator due to roll size or operation limitations.
