Vertical Center Lifts
Overview
Tilt-Lock center lifts provide a simple, safe and effective method of handling rolls with cores that are in the vertical position. Center lifts utilize gravity-activated teeth that grip the core to lift the roll and cannot be disengaged until the roll is placed on a stationary surface. We offer vertical center lifts that can accommodate rolls with cores ranging from 3 to 14 inches. A variety of optional features are also available, including an electric solenoid release device.
How does it work
Center lifts feature gravity-activated mechanical teeth that firmly grasp and secure the roll of material during lifting. For handling rolls where direct operator assistance is required, we recommend the “A” Model manual center lift. A remote solenoid release mechanism enables the operator to retract the teeth with a simple twist of a knob. Because Tilt-Lock center lifts are gravity-activated, the operator cannot disengage the teeth until lowering the roll onto a stable surface, which is a valuable safety feature.
An remote-controlled “AR” model center lift is also available for use with an overhead chain lift.
